Shaped for one job, done properly.
Carved from solid teak with a planted base, sized for the boards most stands cannot hold.
01
The board rests here
A turned teak rail carries the weight low, so a heavy board leans back into the posts instead of pushing the stand forward.
02
A slot with room to spare
The opening between the posts takes a board up to 2.4 inches thick, which covers an end grain block as easily as a thin chopping board.
03
A base that stays put
The feet run wide and flat, so the stand holds a loaded board of up to 30 pounds without walking across the counter.
04
Cut, shaped and marked by hand
Each stand is worked from solid teak in Jepara and carries the Javanti Kayu mark burned into the foot.

The board earns its place
A good board is worth looking at. Standing it up keeps the grain in view and the counter clear.

Before you order
Questions, answered plainly.
Will it hold my end grain block?
Yes. The slot takes a board up to 2.4 inches thick and the base is rated to 30 pounds, which covers both sizes of The Block and most butcher blocks from other makers. Measure the thickness of your board first if it is unusually deep.
Does it come as a pair?
This listing is a single stand. If you want a matching pair for two boards, the Duo Stand holds two in one piece.
Why store a board upright?
A wooden board left flat holds moisture against the counter on one side. Standing it up lets both faces dry at the same rate, which is what keeps a board flat over the years.
What is it made of?
Solid Indonesian teak, cut and shaped by hand in Jepara, then finished with oil. Teak is dense and naturally oily, which is why it stands up to a wet kitchen.
How do I care for it?
Wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it. Give it a little mineral oil once in a while if the colour starts to look dry. Do not put it in the dishwasher.
